Sounds good to me. And honestly, you don't want to get TOO stretched out in minor houses.

I know KD fabricated some of their intermediate and lesser houses from scratch, we should be doubly careful to not accidentally lift from what we're used to.
To clarify, we're looking at two great houses and four intermediate houses? For a total of six houses per provence? Honestly, I think we don't even need to go into lesser (like single barony) houses at this point. Six seems like a solid number.

Insomniac - I agree. Six houses total seem fairly enough to me as well to begin with. Should the game ever get big enough to branch out from there - well, that can be dealt with then!

Six houses is good and if folks want to take up barony's and other houses, they can approach with a name, and it can be incorporated. So long as we make sure that the canonic names are accounted for. I mean, we're planning to make sure that we have enough stuff for a "moderate" sized base, and can expand stuff as needed along the way.

You might be able to trim it down to 5 per province. 2 Ducal houses and 3 minor houses. Nothing says that things have to be perfectly symmetrical. One Duc can have 2 Comte's beneath him and another have only 1.
